Tara Crowl, LPC

My therapy practice is officially closed. Here’s where I went.

I worked in I.T. for over 25 years before becoming a therapist. And it has been the joy of my life. This is definitely what I’m made for.

So why did I close my practice? Because I found a tool that helped me go deeper and have a more profound affect on my clients than what they even came to therapy for.

I didn’t want to use this incredible tool within a clinical framework anymore. It transcends mental health diagnosis. It is now and future focused in a deeply meaningful way.

So I followed that.

If you’re in a place where you need therapeutic support right now, I want to make sure you find the right help. Psychology Today’s therapist finder is a great place to start.

Coaching and therapy are not the same thing.

Therapy is the right fit when you’re dealing with active mental health symptoms, processing trauma, managing a diagnosis, or navigating a crisis. If that’s where you are, please use the Psychology Today link above. That is the most important thing.

Coaching is for people who are fundamentally okay, but something still feels off. You function. You manage. But you feel like you’re living slightly sideways from yourself, and you can’t quite figure out why.

If that second one sounds like you, keep reading.

Here’s what I found.

Underneath the anxiety, the self-doubt, the people-pleasing, the emotions, there is often something simpler going on: you’ve been living by someone else’s rules.

Not intentionally. It happens to all of us. Family rules, peers’ rules, society’s rules. We absorb what the people around us need us to be. And over time, that becomes who we think we are.

Human Design is a system that gives you your actual blueprint. Not a personality type. Not one of 16 categories. The number of unique Human Design configurations runs into the billions. Your chart is, quite literally, yours alone.

And when it’s shared with you, you literally feel the truth of it. A lot of things that felt broken start making a lot of sense. That is what I saw happen over and over with my clients
